Dear People this is the match report for both games.
Under 16 on Saturday 3rd September 2005 @ St.Aloysious Ground vs B’Bugia
This was the first outing of this section. We were unlucky in this game , that we lost 3 – 1. The game was totally dominated from our side but we lacked from scoring the chances that came up. Also the woodwork made its part in the sake of the game. Practically our kids played totally against the goal keeper throughout the game.
Birzebuggia scored twice in the first half in the space of 2 minutes. The first goal came from a direct free kick which costed Wayne Pantalleresco a yellow card. The second goal came from a counter attack after we failed to score a very good chance from Fabian Baldacchino. Wayne Pantallersco failed to stop the centre forward , cause of the previous yellow card earned. In the second half the reaction was very good , and we started pressing really hard. After ten minutes we were awarded a free kick , which turned out to be a really great chance. Fabian Baldacchino took the run and from a curled shot we hit the post , from the rebound Isaac Schaivone scored but was cancelled upon off side. Through out the second half pressure continued to rise and we hit the post another 2 times from Massimo Cassar and Guilio Farrugia. 10 minutes from time the Bbugia keeper was sent off due to bad reaction with the referee. 4 minutes after we scored the consolation goal from a cross shot of Warren Bugeja. Bbugia reacted immediately and they established the 2 goal lead from a counter attack. In between Quiton Grech was sent off for Marsaxlokk for Mis behaviour
Under 14 on Sunday 4th September 2005 @ Mosta Ground vs Zejtun
It was a very scrappy game , with a few chances created on both sides. Practically the game was decided in the second half with both goals , one for each side , being scored in the second part of the game. The goal of Zejtun came from a shot that was partially blocked by Luca Bugeja , and from the rebound the Zejtun striker scored. 4 minutes from time substitute Stefan Cutajar scored from the middle of the penalty area. One should mentioned that a protest for this game was filed today because Zejtun failed to produce identification for most of their players.
